The creation of it all! ColdmaN5 is a band unlike anything you've ever heard before...even if you've heard them before. Blending nonsensical lyrics with off-key vocals, all set to surprisingly great music (thanks to their use of pre-existing music loops, rather than real instruments), N5 is truly an unpredictable listen.
Created out of a joke one winter's eve, bandmembers Earthworm in Cowboy Hat and CheeseCoat McTafferson switch from musical genre to musical genre within their albums, their awkward compositions grating on eardrums of would-be fans. And yet, somewhere underneath it all lays a layer of near brilliance.
"Cold as Ice", released in January, 2005 represents the band's first official release. And while it's not nearly as "polished" as future productions, many of the "jokes" simply rely on listeners paying attention to the pointless lyrics, it's nevertheless a perfect starting point for anyone eager to be turned off by a band so bad, it can't even be considered a novelty act.
